At Cover Glass USA, we provide our customer’s homes with the best energy efficient sliding glass doors and windows, and we are passionate about not only providing a quality product but one that is extremely energy efficient for you and your home. For the summer months, there are a few things that you need to keep in mind when caring for windows and your home to be more energy efficient and comfortable.

One tip is to remember to open the windows in the mornings and over night and let the air in, covering them during the day to block out the sun on those days that are too difficult to handle. Covering your windows during the day does save some energy, and too much sun can cause sun-bleaching of carpets, but if you have a Low-E Sliding glass door from us, carpets retain their color and makes your living space more open.

Another way to make sure that your home is more energy efficient is to make sure your windows and sliding glass doors are weather-proof. If your glass products are aged or sometimes leaks then it is probably time to replace them with more energy efficient products. Just by doing this, your home will be more energy efficient and you will see a large chunk of your air conditioning bill gone instantly.  Our frameless sliding glass doors have a guaranteed weather seal and can seal at multiple different angles, and keep your home, warm, comfortable, beautiful, and energy efficient.
